In 2019, an exercise of Batson’s acting technique unveiled pending matters with my father many years after his tragic passing.

Then, I felt the need to tell his story.

As Mr. S does in his journey, I go hand in hand with my shadows in an intense process that has saved my life for the last three years.

I hope you could join us in this tribute to my father and those who didn’t see the point of life and left by the back door.

Edu Díaz.

THE CANARY ISLANDS

Many books, articles, documentaries, films, tv shows, operas, and plays were thoroughly studied to create this project.

During the -garage- development in the Canary Islands, director Carl Ford suggested that local art could also serve as inspiration.

As part of the creative process, as Edu's roots, as another character of the play, the Canary Islands -its nature, poetry, art, and idiosyncrasy- play an essential role in 'Fantastic Mr. S.'

Surrealist art from Óscar Domínguez, doors and trees from Carmen Cólogan, and infinite horizons from María Belén Morales have inspired the process of creation.
